For the Culture. Built for Legacy. Welcome HOME.

Who We Are

The Kindred Collective is an education-focused organization creating meaningful, culturally rooted experiences for Black youth and families.

We believe learning should expand what young people know, what they believe is possible and how prepared they are to move through the world. Through HBCU exposure, college and career readiness, leadership development, cultural learning and immersive experiences, we give young people opportunities to learn beyond the classroom while building the skills, confidence and relationships they need for what comes next.

Our experiences are intentional, well-planned and full of joy because we believe young people deserve both excellence and care. They should be challenged, supported, exposed to new possibilities and given room to enjoy the journey along the way.

We are developing scholars, leaders and changemakers who know who they are, understand what they carry and are prepared to build futures on their own terms.

Final Decision Tour: February 14 - 21, 2027

Senior Priority • Open to Grades 10–12

The Final Decision HBCU Tour is an immersive college experience designed for students who are ready to get serious about what comes next. Timed before the busy spring college-tour season, students have an opportunity to experience campuses with fewer crowds, ask meaningful questions, explore financial aid and admissions, and—especially for seniors—get the clarity they need before making their final college decision.

Over seven days, students will experience 10 sought-after HBCUs across the East Coast and South, including Howard, Hampton, North Carolina A&T, Spelman, Morehouse, Florida A&M and more.

But the week is about more than choosing a college. Students travel, learn and build community together while participating in workshops focused on financial literacy, college and portfolio preparation, communication, conflict resolution and public speaking—skills designed to prepare them for college, leadership and life beyond high school.

The experience includes luxury motorcoach transportation, hotel accommodations, daily breakfast and dinner, campus experiences, admissions and financial aid programming, college-readiness and leadership workshops, healthcare support, attractions and entertainment, and experienced, trauma-informed Kindred leadership.

Come experience the campuses. Ask the questions. Find your fit. Make your decision.

Spring in the South Tour: March 29 - April 4, 2027

Open to Grades 9–12

The Spring Break in the South HBCU Tour is Kindred’s signature immersive college experience—bringing HBCU exposure, culture, history, leadership and fun together in one unforgettable week.

Students will travel through the South experiencing 11 HBCUs, including Tennessee State, Alabama A&M, Spelman, Morehouse, Clark Atlanta, Tuskegee, Jackson State, Alcorn State, Xavier University of Louisiana, Dillard and Southern University. Along the way, they’ll experience the cities and communities that surround these institutions while building friendships and exploring what college life can look and feel like for them.

The experience includes luxury motorcoach transportation, hotel accommodations, daily breakfast and dinner, campus experiences, admissions and financial aid programming, college-readiness and leadership workshops, healthcare support, cultural experiences, attractions and entertainment, and trauma-informed Kindred leadership.

Students come home with more than pictures and college brochures—they leave with greater exposure, stronger connections and a bigger sense of what’s possible.
