We don’t believe in fixing kids. We believe in forming them.
The world teaches Black youth to shrink, assimilate, or hustle for approval. We don’t. At The Kindred Collective, we create space for them to get rooted — in identity, in truth, and in purpose. We teach mastery of self before mastery of systems. Voice before platform. Discipline

Our work is joy-filled, truth-centered, and unapologetically Black.
We lead with God. We build with excellence. We develop from the inside out.
To raise up the next generation of Black leaders, changemakers, and vision-holders — emotionally equipped, academically ready, and spiritually grounded.
This isn’t college prep alone.
This is pre-organizing. Pre-leadership. Pre-legacy.

A 4-year leadership and college exposure experience for high school students, built around Master Classes, real-world life skills, HBCU tours, a 3-day Blaxcellence Retreat, academic coaching, and a summer intensive with an HBCU professor and academic advisor.
This is not for the perfect student. It’s for the ready one.
The hungry one. The bold one.
The one who knows there’s more — and is ready to become it.
A 7-day, premium HBCU Tour curated for Detroit youth. Students visit 10 HBCUs in one unforgettable week. This tour changes trajectories, confirms purpose, and opens doors — mentally, spiritually, and professionally.
Both offerings are built for transformation, not transaction.
We don’t sell seats. We build futures.
My name is Remi — and this is more than a program to me. It’s a calling.
I didn’t attend an HBCU. I was smart, but I didn’t have the guidance or access to get there. I figured it out late. And I promised God if He gave me the clarity, I’d reach back and bring others with me.
This work is a reflection of that promise.
It’s informed by my life

This work is a reflection of that promise.
It’s informed by my life — as a first-gen college grad, a macro social worker, a nonprofit leader, and a single momma of three, raising three powerful Black children in a complex world.
I created The Kindred Collective to make what I didn’t have —
A God-backed blueprint.
A circle of truth-tellers.
A place where kids don’t just succeed.
They rise.
Rooted in legacy. Built for impact. Powered by God.
A yearlong leadership experience for high school students who know they’re called to more.
This is our flagship program — not a club, not a class, but a full formation experience.
Students enter a tight-knit cohort and journey through:
Students don’t just visit colleges — they’re shaped to lead in them.
They don’t just talk about goals — they build the discipline to reach them.
This is for the next wave of Black leaders. And they know who they are.
